As the chilly winter dawns upon us, there’s nothing better than cozying up in front of the TV. With Netflix’s ever-growing list of critically acclaimed shows, here are 10 series that we think you’ll love!

Dark (Sci-Fi, Mystery)

Everybody loves an enticing mystery, and Dark manages to keep you gripped throughout the entire series, leaving you constantly guessing and altering your perspective along the entertaining ride. Set in a German town, Dark is a family saga with a supernatural twist, where the disappearance of two young children exposes the relationships among four families. From powerful performances to expert storytelling, Dark is truly an amazing showcase of the craft.

Mindhunter (Crime, Thriller)

From the genius minds of the thriller genre, including David Fincher, Mindhunter explores two fictional FBI agents in the 1970s, who are tasked with interviewing and profiling serial killers to solve open cases. As well as being based on the true-crime book by John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker, what is so captivating about the series is how strikingly similar the serial killers are to the real-life ones they are based on. Exploring their unsettlingly dark psyche up close, without the need for explicit violence, results in a tense and unique experience.

Sex Education (Comedy)

The best comedy shows are the ones that the entire family can enjoy, and that’s exactly what you get with Sex Education. Released earlier this year, the series follows a teenage boy with a sex therapist mother, who teams up with a high school classmate to set up an underground sex therapy clinic at school. With a unique comedic and visual style, there’s no wonder it was an instant commercial success.

After Life (Comedy)

King of British comedy, Ricky Gervais returns with his new series After Life, which explores a shift in a normal man’s nice-guy persona to an impulsive, devil-may-care attitude after his wife dies unexpectedly. Despite the gloomy concept, the series manages to explore the heartfelt side of life, from humorously written jokes to the joy of forming strong friendships.

Unbelievable (Drama)

Based on the true-life story of a teenager who was charged with lying about having been raped, Unbelievable focuses on the two female detectives who followed the path to the truth. Peaky Blinders (Drama)

One of the most powerful gangs of the time is the Peaky Blinders, run by returning war hero Thomas Shelby (performed by our own Cillian Murphy) and his family. Russian Doll (Comedy, Drama)

And for my personal favorite - Russian Doll. Emmy-nominated actress Natasha Lyonne stars in this comedy-drama series as Nadia, a young woman who is on a journey to be the guest of honor at a party in New York City. But she gets caught in a mysterious loop as she repeatedly attends the same event and dies at the end of the night each time -- only to awaken the next day unharmed as if nothing had happened.

Money Heist (Action, Crime)

A criminal mastermind who goes by "The Professor" has a plan to pull off the biggest heist in recorded history -- to print billions of euros in the Royal Mint of Spain. To help him carry out the ambitious plan, he recruits eight people with certain abilities and who have nothing to lose.

If you don’t mind either reading subtitles, or hearing dubbed voices you will absolutely LOVE this show.

8.5/10 IMDb | 100% Rotten Tomatoes

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (Supernatural, Coming of Age)

With Halloween fast approaching, what better way to conclude with a series that perfectly captures the fun essence of the Halloween season. Adapted from the comic series, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina follows the twisted life of a 16-year-old half-witch and her struggles to balance her normal life from her darker one. From monsters and folklore to coming-of-age teenage love and relationships, the fast-paced series explores a range of themes in a visually stunning way.
